Yachats State Recreation Area
Beautiful 200+ degree northern ocean view with rocks to climb onto and benches to rest on. Less than a mile off of Oregon Coast Hwy 101, Yachats State Recreation Area is a must stop if driving by. Known for it’s easily accessible rocks to explore and tidepools this recreation spot is also home to surfing and wind sports.
Yachats State Recreation area is part of the Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve and Marine Protected Areas which means there is specific regulation pertaining to fishing, seaweed, and invertebrates. Essentially don’t take anything you didn’t bring. Do your research before fishing. If you’re lucky you’ll catch some gray whales or seals playing while taking in the sights
Direction To Yachats State Recreation Area
The official state park is located between W 2nd St and Ocean View Dr off of Oregon Coast Hwy 101. Beach access is sandwiched between Ocean View Dr and Yachats Ocean Rd.

Get onto Oregon Coast Highway 101
- From highway 101 go towards Yachats Oregon (Southern Lincoln County)
- Turn onto Ocean View Dr to access the official state parking lot w\ bathrooms

- Turn onto Yachats Ocean Dr to access the beach (Yachats Ocean Road State Nature Site)
